Hints & Tips

Applying for a role with us? We want to support you!

Below are some tips and guidance to help you through our recruitment process.

  • We want our hiring process to be straightforward and transparent. Here’s what you can expect when you apply:

    Step 1: Application

    • Submit your CV online before the job advert closes. Please note that if we receive a high volume of applications, we may close the advert early, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.

    Step 2: Shortlisting

    • After the job advert closes, the hiring manager will review applications against predefined criteria. We aim to notify all applicants of the outcome within three days of the advert closing.

    Step 3: Interviews

    • If shortlisted, we will invite you for an interview (virtual or in-person), providing details about the format, attendees, and any preparation required. We aim to schedule interviews within 10 days of shortlisting.

    Step 4: Offer & pre-employment Checks

    • If successful, you will receive a conditional offer via phone call, followed by a written offer letter. This is subject to right-to-work verification, references, and any other necessary pre-employment checks. We aim to communicate interview outcomes within three days. If unsuccessful, we will notify you via email. Due to high application volumes, we may not always be able to provide tailored feedback.

    Step 5: Onboarding

    • Welcome to the team! We will provide everything you need for a smooth start, including your confirmed start date and an induction plan for your first week.

    If you’re unsuccessful

If you are not selected this time, don’t be discouraged! We encourage you to stay informed about upcoming opportunities and to apply for future roles as they become available.

    1. Tailor your CV: Highlight the skills and experience most relevant to the role. Carefully review the job description to identify key skills, keywords, experience, programmes, and systems mentioned, and align your application accordingly.

    2. Keep it clear: Use a simple format, bullet points and concise language.

    3. Showcase your impact: Where possible, highlight your achievements with measurable outcomes. Show how your actions made a tangible impact

    4. Research us: Understanding our values and services can help you to stand out.

  • We want you to feel confident and prepared! Here are some tips:

    1. Understand the role – Read the job description carefully and consider how your skills match.

    2. Prepare examples – Think of situations where you have demonstrated key skills. For example:

      • A time you solved a problem or improved a process.

      • How you worked effectively in a team.

      • A challenge you faced and how you overcame it.

      • An example of delivering excellent customer service or meeting a deadline.

    3. Be yourself – We want to get to know you, so be authentic and engaged.

    4. Check your tech – If your interview is virtual, test your camera and microphone beforehand. We do expect cameras to be on when interviews are conducted online.

If you are employed with us on a time-limited visa (such as a Student Visa or Skilled Worker Visa), your right to work is legally tied to the validity of that visa. If your visa expires and you do not obtain a new visa that allows you to continue working, your employment with us will end in accordance with UK right-to-work regulations.

For more information on visa requirements, please visit the UK Government website.

  • We are committed to creating an inclusive recruitment process. If you require any adjustments – for example, additional time during an interview or an alternative application format – please let us know when applying.
